Stone Memorial Shelter

On October 5th, 2009 Aaron Schoenberg says:
I visited this shelter for the first time in over ten years. I vividly remember a water pipe just down the hill (east) from the SBM crossing on the Sherwood Path that continually flowed fresh water (I assume from a sppring). The pipe was no longer there. What happened to it, when was it removed and why?
