| Park Description: | Occupying a pair of peninsulas jutting into Spruce Run Reservoir like opposing canine teeth, the 2,012-acre is typical of most of the day-use areas found in many of New Jersey's state parks and forests. A park office and visitor center awaits the visitor immediately upon entering the recreation area. Fifteen miles of shoreline around the third largest reservoir in the state offer ample recreational opportunities. |
| Trails Overview: | The Highlands Trail [teal diamond], approximately 0.91 miles [one way], is the only marked trail within the park boundaries. However, the park grounds and roadways provide for hiking, strolling, jogging and biking activities. See also the Clinton Wildlife Management Area, which is adjacent to the recreation area.
