| Park Description: | With one exception, blazed hiking trails are yet to be laid out in this recently acquired land, an extension of NY's Sterling Forest into New Jersey. The Park, owned by Passaic County, is managed by the NJ Section of the Palisades Interstate Park. |
| Trails Overview: | Only the Hasenclever Iron Trail traverses park but is closed for a quarter-mile section about four miles in at Peter's Mine - it is a superfund clean-up site -- before reaching Ringwood Manor. It is claimed to be the first historical interpretative trail in Northern New Jersey. Interpretive national park-type photo-signs are installed at about thirteen points along the trail. |
