Trail U 556 - Rigging for Trail Work
High-lines are an extremely efficient way to move large quantities of rock (and other objects) great distances, saving work, maximizing safety, and minimizing construction disturbances. This workshop teaches the student how to safely use and maintain these high-lines on a trail crew. Students will also learn how to set up a basic drag line as well as when each rigging system is appropriate to use.
Registration for this workshop will be held in person at the conclusion of the prerequisite Trail U 549 - Intro to Bear Mountain Trails Project.
