Join us in the breathtaking Catskills on the Phoenicia East Branch Trail between the Burroughs Range and Curtis Ormsbee Trails.

Trail Maintenance is clearing, cleaning, and blazing.  Trail maintainers use small hand tools to clip and cut brush out of the trail, remove debris from drainage structures, and paint or hang the markers used for route finding also known as blazes.

Give back to the trails you love and learn first hand what it takes to be a trail maintainer in the field and perhaps adopt a trail segment of your very own on this inspiring mountain.

Bring  work gloves, wear sturdy closed shoes, bring a bag lunch and PLENTY of water. If you have loppers, hand shears or pruners, please bring them with you. Otherwise let us know you're coming so that we can organize sufficient tools ahead of time as well as give you a heads-up about inclement weather delays.
