National Public Lands Day: Appalachian Trail

Join trail experts, hiking clubs and veterans service groups to celebrate America’s public land by volunteering on the Appalachian Trail.

Accessible by Train:
Take the Metro-North Harlem Line to the Harlem Valley Wingdale station. Leave Grand Central at 7:10 a.m. to arrive by 9:26 a.m. for a group carpool to the event.  Return home on the 4:31 p.m. train. Plan ahead. See train schedule online.
