Join the Trail Conference's Aquatic Invasives Strike Force as we remove water chestnut from Constitution Marsh with Audubon NY. Anyone can participate, but folks should be comfortable getting wet and coming into contact with algae, spiders, insects, crayfish, and various other critters that may be present. Bring plenty of water and snacks or lunch if you plan on staying for the full trip, as well as muscle power! Nutlets can be sharp, so you may wish to bring rubberized or leather work gloves as well.
Exact meeting place and more details will be provided upon sign-up.
Boats will be provided and space is extremely limited, so you must register to attend! You will also be co-registered with Audubon NY's event.
For volunteers under age 18, please submit a Guardian Consent form to [email protected] prior to the volunteer day or bring the paper form the day of. A parent or guardian must be present for the volunteer day.
