Restoration of the Welch Trail Education Center: Painting Work Trip

Registration is closed for this event
Come help us restore the beautiful Welch Trail Education Center, the Trail Conference's group camp in Harriman State Park! Sign up here.

Join us as we work towards restoring our former Girl Scout group camp. This week we will be focusing on painting. The Welch Trail Education Center is a located in Harriman State Park. Visiting the camp is like stepping back in time to the olden days of rustic camps filled with children for the summer, escaping the city for the country. The WTEC is now used solely by the Trail Conference to house the AmeriCorps Members for up to 6 months and to host trainings and meetings throughout the season. In exchange for a rental fee we provide trail maintenance and camp upgrades. There are 10 buildings on the property that are in need of painting!  We are gradually completing this task with your help!

Please sign up so we know how many paint brushes to have on hand and we can let you know of any changes of plans due to weather. Bring your lunch that you could eat on one of the picnic tables or down on the dock by lake.  Wear your painting clothes and bring your own gloves and goggles.
