National Public Lands Day of Volunteer Service at Tourne County Park

Celebrate National Public Lands Day by spending a few hours helping our Trail Crew in Tourne County Park!

Come out and celebrate National Public Lands Day by volunteering at Tourne County Park. Be among thousands of people nationwide who volunteer their time during this annual recognition day to benefit public lands. Work with Morris County Park Commission staff, New York-New Jersey Trail Conference, and JORBA on trail maintenance/ construction and invasive removal. You will also have the opportunity to spend time developing your outdoor skills with REI.

Brush & Blaze Trail Maintenance 
Hike our natural surface trails and perform general maintenance such as pruning vegetation and repainting existing trail blazes. 
Ages 16 & up.
9:30 am – 11:30 am or 12 pm – 2 pm 

Invasive Strike Force 
Join our knowledgeable staff and volunteers in invasive vegetation management throughout our wooded area in the park.
All ages.
9:30 am – 11:30 am or 12 pm – 2 pm

Trail Construction 
Expect to get dirty and have a ton of fun learning hands-on trail building techniques for a brand-new trails at Tourne County Park.  
Ages 16 & up.
9:30 am – 11:30 am or 12 pm – 2 pm
