Thorns
The middle of the blue trail is completely overrun by invasive thorned plants: barberry, multiflora rose, and wineberries. Trail markers are no longer visible, and the trail itself can hardly be seen. I was thoroughly scratched up, and even if I were covered head-to-toe, pulling my clothes free with every step is not fun. Bring a machete? Also, the mud created by the, I think, wellspring just a few yards off the trail makes it difficult to pull your feet free, too. :( Otherwise a glorious hike! Literally every other part of this preserve is beautiful and well-maintained and a joy to experience.
