Know the New Hiking How-tos
Joshua Howard Named Trail Conference Executive Director
Joshua Howard has been named Executive Director of the Trail Conference. An 18-year member of the staff, he assumed a co-leadership role as Chief Operating Officer in March, serving alongside Chief Financial Officer Mary Perro. Since then, Josh has been responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Trail Conference, with Mary responsible for all financial matters.
As we look forward to entering our Centennial year, the Trail Conference Board of Directors has determined the organization will best be prepared to meet the challenges of our second century with Josh at the helm as Executive Director.
“Josh has brought a new and refreshing leadership style to the Trail Conference,” said Board of Directors Chair Eddie Saiff. “He is very much a team builder with a vision for the future that energizes all aspects of our organization. The Board and I are confident that with Josh as our Executive Director, his team in the office and in the field put the future of the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference in the best possible hands.”
Josh would love to get to know you better and answer any questions you may have. He’ll be leading a hike in Ramapo Valley County Reservation on Sunday, Nov. 17, after our Annual Voters Meeting, held at Trail Conference Headquarters in Mahwah, N.J.
You can also hang out with him on the trails of Ramapo Reservation on Friday, Dec. 13, on our Appreciation Hike. After the hike, join us back at Headquarters for a casual holiday get-together with other volunteers and supporters.
